A born-and-raised New Englander, it hurt my patriotic heart to discover American coffee is far from superior.

I’ll grant you the occasional quality espresso—shout-out to Corvus Coffee Roasters (Denver, CO) and Havana1957 (Miami Beach, FL).

And while I’ve tasted morning cappuccino in Uzhgorod,
London coffee on a rainy Wednesday,
and post-touring latte on streets of Jinja,

nothing compares to Coffee At Last.

Excited—as always—for coffee in general, and coffee from Uganda (in Uganda),

I couldn’t wait.

And rightly so.

On the menu:
Affogato: Espresso poured over vanilla ice cream.

I will take five, thank you.

I only took one, but if you find yourself in Uganda’s capital city, be sure to try a sip. Or two.
